About Us
We are a group of students from the Cape Academy of Mathematics, Science and Technology in Cape Town, who are currently involved in a project where we grow a superfood called Spiruina, which is a blue-green micro algae that contain 60-70% protein, as well as a high percentage of the required daily nutrients that a child needs.
Malnutrition is a problem that we have identified, which is already a reality in Africa, that is expected to get worse as the availability of food and water is expected to decrease tremendously in the years to come. Our plan is to produce, harvest and distribute Spirulina so that it reaches those who need it most.
Our project aims at improving the state of health, mainly of children that live in underprivileged or rural communities using Spirulina, to relieve the detrimental stresses of malnutrition.
